New Haven Learning Centre

20% of the donations received at most sponsorship levels are given directly to the New Haven Learning Centre, where children receive the therapy they require to address the complex learning needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Your support helps to gain the strength they need to help children & their families win their crusade in living with autism, and your support is fundamental in making tuition affordable for kids attending the New Haven Learning Centre.

Full-Time Therapy for James

The balance of proceeds from the event, if any, will be directed towards James' full-time therapy and tuition costs at the New Haven Learning Centre.

Over the next 3 years, James' Tuition is projected to be over $240,000.

Your support will provide James and his peers with year round access to Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) & Intensive Behaviour Intervention (IBI) therapy at the New Haven Learning Centre. He will be working with Board Certified Behaviour Analysts and Instructor-Therapists working together to ensure that he is on track to achieve his development goals via an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

About New Haven Learning Centre

Centre of Excellence

Founded in 1998, New Haven Learning Centre was the first in Ontario to offer an ABA program, and has become the prototype for how to best understand and treat those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Highly accredited children's health professionals consider the New Haven Learning Centre to be the gold standard in Canada due to our individualized programming and collaborative partnership with parents.

Their Vision

To positively change the lives of individuals with ASD, and related disorders, by helping them to overcome barriers and integrate further into their communities.

Their Mission

New Haven Learning Centre seeks to maximize the development of individuals with autism, and related disorders, by using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) as a primary method for improving the quality of life for students and their families.

Their Values

  • Evidence Based - Scientific, evidence-based ABA therapy is the core of what they do and is the most important driver of positive outcomes. Their services are founded on data-driven decisions. They deliver programs where the child comes first and put evidence-based science into practice.

  • Collaborative - Parents, staff, consulting specialists, and other support workers are all part of making each individual’s personal therapy plan a success. They share ideas and goals, co-create learning plans with caregivers, and, most importantly, they stay connected.

  • Excellence - Quality and excellence are what they are known for internationally and within the local autism community. They strive for quality programming so clients and their families can have full confidence in their service plan. Their team of highly-trained staff and the supervisory team is critical to delivering a quality program.

  • Community - They believe that community is the key to success. From early childhood to late adulthood, each person deserves to interact in a safe and supportive environment. They develop comprehensive transition plans with school boards, partner with employers to integrate individuals into the workforce and deliver community awareness via education and training.

  • Empowering - They offer people of all ages the opportunity for self-transformation and to realize their full potential. They further empower their families to better understand their needs and equip them with strategies to support their child across their lifespan. Simply put, they provide hope.
